Angkor Wat B+W – Siem Reap, Cambodia

Angkor Wat is the most incredible place I’ve ever been… Absolutely breathtaking.

Here’s a daytime long-exposure shot with a B&W 110 ND 3.0. Edited in LR and Silver Efex Pro.

  1. These builddings look like an extension of nature. It´s as if they were always supposed to be there. In the words of Louis I. Kahn : “What was, has always been. What is, has always been. What will be, has always been.”
Beautiful shot! I really hope that one day I will be able to go there and see them with my own eyes. Until then, I´ll enjoy photos like yours!

    • Thanks! I’ve wanted to go to Angkor Wat since I saw a documentary about it when I was a teenager. It certainly didn’t disappoint! I was surprised at how cool the other temples in the surrounding area are too. I’d love to go back in the future as well. We were there for three days but a week would have been better as you could take it all in instead of rushing around. Maybe next time!

  2. Agreed – Angkor was incredible! I was so glad I finally managed to fit it into my travel plans (it eluded me on my first trip to Southeast Asia). I particularly loved Ta Phrom, and the mix of ancient history with forces of nature. GORGEOUS shot, by the way. 🙂
